Bio Image unveils quantifiers for Apple Mac

A Bio Image Systems product story
Edited by the Laboratorytalk editorial team Aug 28, 2008

Bio Image Systems has announced that Advance Quantifier and Intelligent Quantifier are available for Apple Macintosh computers running OS X with Intel (Mactel).

Advanced Quantifier is a complete software system for analysing scanned images of 1-D wet gels, dry gels and membranes: using lane definition, band detection, Mw/ IEF standards and dilution series (concentration standards).

You can match both within and between samples: to all lanes, to a selected (reference) lane, to selected bands, or to a reference pattern.

Matching output includes a similarity matrix and a dendrogram.

Intelligent Quantifer analyses images from 1-D wet gels, dry gels and membranes.

It has a complete one-dimensional analysis package including lane definition, band detection, Mw/ IEF standards and dilution series (concentration standards).

The software generates band and lane data analysis reports.

Intelligent Quantifier does not have lane matching capabilities.

Set up requires installation of VMware Fusion, or a similar program such as Parallels Desktop or Apple Boot Camp.

A free demo is available for download, which includes instructions for installation.
