Pushing the limits of yield stress rheometer

A Brookfield Engineering Laboratories product story

Higher stress range and smaller samples with a new vane spindle make this instrument Ideal for thick and/or highly viscous samples

The Brookfield YR-1 yield stress rheometer, said by the company to be the industry standard, now includes the new V-74 vane spindle for even higher stress and smaller sample sizes.

Ideal for thick and/or highly viscous materials like pastes, peanut butter, and grease, the new V-74 vane spindle can handle yield stress measurement up to a maximum shear stress range of 40,000Pa.

The V-74's vane diameter, less than 6mm, also effectively reduces the required sample size container to less than 12mm, diameter making extremely small samples a practical consideration for QC testing on the production floor.

The Brookfield YR-1 is a simple-to-use, low cost alternative to complicated, full-featured lab rheometers.

It is fully computer programmable using EZ-Yield software for use with a PC.

Three additional vane spindles are available to expand the viscosity ranges.
