The Asys Expert Plus series microplate readers and the Atlantis plate washer are aimed at the routine user looking for convenience, low maintenance and ease of use, coupled with high performance at a competitive price.

The Asys Expert Plus microplate readers are self-contained, robot-compatible units for 96 well plates, and are fast - five seconds for a 96 well plate - with comprehensive on-board software and a built-in graphical display.

Programming is exceptionally easy via soft keys on the display, and 120 methods can be stored in memory.

Interference filters for the most popular wavelengths - 405nm, 450nm, 492nm and 605nm - are supplied as standard; and an extensive range of filters covering other wavelengths is available.

The Asys Atlantis plate washer reflects the same practical approach.

Liquid handling is achieved without the use of vacuum or pressure, so safety is improved and maintenance reduced.

A choice of manifolds allows the unit to handle a variety of plate and strip formats - incorrectly inserted plates or strips are detected automatically - and up to 50 stored wash programmes offer different washing, aspiration and shaking modes.

A unique automatic rinse mode prevents the common problem of manifold blockage due to crystallisation when the unit is not in use.

Developed in collaboration with Astra Zeneca, the Asys Flexispense HT provides a cost-effective solution to low volume bulk dispensing for high throughput screening.

Reagent volumes down to 2æl are dispensed with high accuracy and precision and at high speed (16 secs for a 1536 well plate).

The unit accommodates 96, 384 and 1536 well plates and is robot-friendly, with plate access from top, side or front.
