Biochrom has announced the compact Anthos Zenyth 200 high-performance scanning microplate reader, with built-in UV/Vis spectrophotometer.

The Zenyth 200's advanced optics are capable of endpoint, kinetic, multichromatic and spectral scanning, and position scanning covering the range 190-1,000nm; for kinetic studies the temperature can be controlled.

The Zenyth 200 is available in two versions.

The stand-alone version has built-in stored routines for nucleic acid quantitation and characterisation, and integrated Windows CE (LAN-interface) for easy data transfer.

The PC-controlled version uses ADAP Basic software or can be upgraded to ADAP Prizma, which includes an advanced Elisa module and stored routines for cuvette assays, including protein, nucleic acid and oligo concentration.
