Waitrose gains an appetite for
refrigerators
In a move to ensure the best possible protection for samples during laboratory testing, the supermarket chain has made a significant investment in refrigerators and incubators
With Labheat incubators, temperature settings can be pre-set and automatically controlled over long periods This allows laboratory staff to leave samples incubating over weekends, without the need for intervention from out-of-hours staff
Other benefits include precise temperature control, fast condition recovery after door opening, alarm monitoring, rugged exteriors and spark-free interiors.
"Borolabs were a joy to do business with", explains Jane Duddle, manager of Waitrose's microbiology department.
"We looked at a number of suppliers, but none matched the safety, security and reliability criteria so vital to our needs. Request a free brochure from Labcold ...
Clear display panels on all models make routine temperature monitoring less of a chore and if any maintenance is required, which has happened only once, then Borolab's [technicians] are quick to react.".
