Keep medical and blood products safe on
the move

Labcold has introduced a new range of portable refrigerators and temperature loggers to ensure the safe transport of temperature-sensitive medical and blood products and samples

There are two portable refrigerator models in the new Labcold range One is specially designed to transport blood products and samples, so is factory set to +4C, plus or minus 2C

The second is for general medical use and can also act as an incubator, with an adjustable temperature range of -5C to +60C.

Both models are lightweight yet robust, and are unaffected by tipping or vibration.

They operate on 12 or 240V and are free of CFCs, HCFCs and ammonia.

The portable temperature loggers are small, lightweight, self-contained units that sense and record temperature data for later download to a PC.

Two types are available, both able to measure temperatures across a wide range to an accuracy of plus or minus 0.50C.

Robin Gregson, sales and marketing director at Labcold, said: "As well as blood, it is increasingly important to ensure that many other medical and pharmaceutical products and samples are kept at a closely controlled and monitored temperature. Request a free brochure from Labcold ...

"This is especially difficult outside the controlled conditions of a laboratory or medical facility so our range has been designed to provide a complete, easy to use solution.".
