The drying chamber can be equipped with up to five refrigerated shelves offering a maximum shelf area of 0.85mē and 12kg of ice capacity.
Shelf temperatures can be maintained within a range of -60C to +60C to an accuracy of +/-0.5C by the chamber's own independent refrigeration system and an electrically operated ram moves the shelves to allow vial stoppering.
The lower condenser chamber has an ice capacity of 20kg and is designed to allow easy ice plug removal.
A powerful central processor allows complex pressure/temperature profiles and operation sequences to be controlled accurately and reproducibly, without the need for operator intervention.
Over 50 profiles can be stored and retrieved as required.
Process variables and product temperatures, systems status and fault indicators can be viewed in real time via the touch screen control panel, logged continuously to disk or interfaced with site Scada systems.
Requiring no special commissioning and with a compact footprint (70cm x 90cm), the equipment is convenient enough for use in laboratories, yet its capacity and sophistication make it equally suitable for use in small-scale production applications.
