Clarkson University praises instruments
Researchers at Clarkson University in New York have recently praised the Brookhaven equipment they use in their laboratories for its capabilities
The Department of Chemical Engineering at Clarkson University routinely uses a ZetaPals and a BI-200SM goniometer with a BI-9000AT autocorrelator for its work and adjunct professor Chris Brancewicz explained: "There are a tremendous number of researchers in the departments of civil and environmental engineering, chemical engineering, and chemistry who use the equipment The instruments are absolute workhorses in the laboratory and do a great job across a huge range of applications

Furthering gene delivery research at Caltech
For the past four years, researchers in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the CalTech have been using a Brookhaven ZetaPals instrument for studies on non-viral gene delivery
"When we wanted an accurate system to determine zeta potential we chose a ZetaPals instrument.
With other systems it is impossible to determine zeta potential in solutions of high ionic strength because the high voltage required causes heating effects.
The ZetaPals system applies such low voltages that this is not a problem.
It is extremely sensitive and does not perturb the system that is under study." "For particle sizing you cannot do better than to go to Brookhaven Instruments - its staff are absolutely committed to their work.
Bruce Weiner, the MD of Brookhaven, has been extremely generous with his time and has guided me through the many pitfalls that can lead to inconsistent results." Chris concluded: "I first used a Brookhaven system when I was at graduate school and when you find instruments that are reliable, easy to use, can absolutely verify your data without any mathematical tricks and that have the committed support of good staff, you stick with them.".
