Standard-less solution for X-ray
fluorescence
Enables quantification of all elements from sodium to uranium in all concentration ranges from 100% down to the ppm-level in all matrices, like minerals, oils or metals
At the 2004 Pittsburgh Conference in Chicago, Bruker AXS announced the launch of the new standard-less solution, Equa All, for the S2 Ranger energy dispersive X-ray (EDX) spectrometer Equa All enables quantification of all elements from sodium to uranium in all concentration ranges from 100% down to the ppm-level in all matrices, like minerals, oils or metals when used with the S2 Ranger

All sample preparation techniques, ie, pressed pellets, fused beads and different sample cups for liquids, are supported by Equa All eliminating any additional calibration effort.
Equa All completes the 'touch-n-analyse' concept of the S2 Ranger, thus enabling untrained personnel to perform elemental analysis in a wide range of applications.
Equa All will become an integral part of the S2 Ranger as the new solution for standard-less elemental analysis in all materials and is available for both, the S2 Ranger manual and the S2 Ranger automatic.

Bruker Press Release: Bruker's Advanced Supercon Business Signs Cooperation Agreement with IFW Dresden for Further Development of MgB2 Superconducting Wire.
The latter provides an intelligent XY-auto sampler concept for 28 samples for analysing different types of samples within one batch while adding new samples during the same sample run.
Kai Behrens, global product manager EDX solutions, explained: "The S2 Ranger with its compact all-in-one design has set a new standard for robust performance in x-ray elemental analysis.
"With Equa All we now can bring energy dispersive XRF analysis to the next level of convenience and productivity".
Karl Eugen Mauser, project manager software and method development, added: "The newly developed mathematical algorithm directly correlates the measured spectrum with the concentrations of all elements in the sample without intermediate steps.
"This unique direct correlation procedure automatically handles line overlaps and inter-element effects using a fundamental parameter approach.
"Equa All thus allows the measurement of a wide range of different sample types and preparations".
Jeremy Lea, global business manager XRF, stated: "By adding Equa All to our product line we have extended our leadership in standard-less elemental analysis from wavelength dispersive methods to energy dispersive applications.
"This new product fully meets the requirements of our customers and will help us to further strengthen our growing market position in the elemental and process analysis market. Request a free brochure from Bruker Daltonics ...
"Equa All is an excellent tool for currently not addressed market segments with new methods.".
