Hardlines team hardened further

Prior to joining BVCPS Chris Davey held the role of operations manager/deputy general manager with a global testing and inspection organisation.

Davey is an experienced mechanical engineer with 16 years experience in testing environments.
In his new position with BVCPS, Davey will be responsible for developing the business, relocating the hardlines business to a new site and introducing strategies which provide the base for supporting BVCPS customers in the UK while promoting its services in Asia.
Chris will also be charged with the general day-to-day running of the company, ensuring clients expectations are met and exceeded, providing training and support for BVCPS offices worldwide and ensuring all work carried out complies with BVCPS internal and global quality manuals.
John Trinci has 17 years experience within the quality testing field, latterly as safety, test and standard manager with Mamas and Papas where he was responsible for setting up and running a test laboratory, investigating customer quality and safety related complaints and advising commercial managers and suppliers of new safety standards and legislation.
Within his new role at BVCPS, Trinci will be charged with expanding the toy testing services and further developing the comprehensive nursery testing service.
John will also act as a technical resource for BVCPS's Asian facilities and will liaise with the region on UK customers' behalf.
Trinci is a member of several BSI committees for toys and nursery products; he also regularly acts as an expert witness on behalf of Trading Standards in court cases regarding toy safety issues.
Alan Kirwilliam, sales and marketing director at BVCPS, Manchester, comments: "Both Chris and John are proven experts within their individual fields and we are very excited to welcome them on board.
