BVCPS's Hong Kong Kowloon Bay Laboratory has been awarded several new Hoklas (Hong Kong Laboratory Accreditation Scheme) accreditations for the testing of nursery products to European and British standards.
These new accreditations are relevant to a variety of products including baby bouncers, baby cots, walking frames, carry cots, folding push chairs and playpens.
The company's Shanghai Laboratory has been accredited for toy testing by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (Ukas) to EN71-1,2,3 and 6 and EN 50088 standards.
These standards cover flammability, mechanical and physical properties, migration of elements and age warning labelling.
Accreditations recognise a laboratory's competence to perform specific tests according to valid test methods and are awarded to individual locations.
These latest accreditations demonstrate BVCPS's commitment to complying with internationally recognised quality systems and to providing data to support clients' 'Due Diligence' systems.
The company maintains a number of other key accreditations across its global testing facilities in America, Europe and Asia.
Alan Kirwilliam, director of sales and marketing at BVCPS Manchester, comments: "It is very important that our Asia testing laboratories continue to receive these significant accreditations".
"As more and more companies turn to Asia to source their products, it is vital that they realise that a lot of time and effort can be saved by testing any purchases at local laboratories".
"Testing products at source provides importers with numerous benefits, including enhanced development cycles, speeding up the entire testing process and the elimination of unnecessary transport charges for unsatisfactory goods.".
