ThCG assay gains enhanced architecture
Total human chorionic gonadotropin (ThCG) method for use on automated immunoassay system is enhanced to improve the accuracy of pregnancy testing and detection of germ cell tumours
Bayer Diagnostics has enhanced the assay architecture of the total human chorionic gonadotropin (ThCG) method for use on the automated Advia Centaur immunoassay system to further improve the accuracy of pregnancy testing and detection of germ cell tumours A new solid phase monoclonal antibody has been utilised in the ThCG assay to improve the robustness of the test
This eliminates the possibility of interference from materials present in sample collection tubes which might otherwise affect the accuracy of results.
The enhanced ThCG assay can be run in random access mode alongside all other analytes on the high-throughput Advia Centaur immunoassay system, allowing laboratories to deliver a rapid diagnostic service with absolute confidence in the quality of results provided to clinicians.
