Following the success of the Chemistry User Forums in 2005, three regional meetings for users of the Advia 1200, Advia 1650 and Advia 2400 chemistry systems are planned by Bayer Diagnostics in 2006

Delegates attending Bayer's Northern and Southern User Forums last year rated the meetings as either above average or the best yet, thus strongly endorsing the highly interactive nature of the events This created an environment in which delegates could exchange views and compare experiences with other system users, whilst also raising any issues they wished to discuss with senior Bayer personnel

Afterwards, delegates praised what they had perceived to be a good balance of presentations and discussion and the wide range of topics covered.

Martin McAuley from the biochemistry department at Warrington Hospital attended the Stockport meeting in October 2005.

He comments: ''The Bayer Chemistry User meetings provide a stimulating open forum with good honest feedback''.

"Advia Chemistry users greatly appreciate the opportunity to network with their peers from other laboratories for the purpose of sharing opinions and information", comments Bayer's product manager for clinical chemistry and automation, Claire Walker-Lloyd.

"A record number of delegates attended our two regional User Forums last year, and due to our increasing number of Advia Chemistry installations we will be expanding the programme to three meetings in 2006.

"These will be held in London and Oxford in June, and Warrington in October." All aspects of the use of Advia Chemistry Systems will be discussed at these meetings, including Bayer's Service and Support and Customer Service functions.

As in 2005, delegates will be encouraged to express their views in the context of a frank, open exchange.

"At Bayer, we take feedback from our customers very seriously", concludes Claire.

"Following each User Forum, we actively focus on improving our performance and therefore raising the satisfaction level of our users.''.
