New accessories for the Carl Zeiss Axiostar instrument, offering brightfield, darkfield, and phase 1, 2, and 3 operations, and an 'attractive' price

The Axiostar student microscope range from Carl Zeiss has been extended The basic stand is now available in two formats with either a 4-place or 5-place nosepiece

All stands are provided with a 75x30 mechanical stage which has a ceramic coating for longer life; a specimen holder for 3x1 slides; vertically adjustable condenser carrier with centration controls; field diaphragm with iris for setting Koehler illumination; bulbs, integrated power supply and dust cover.

The compact and sturdy stand is the ideal tool for use in teaching laboratory environments.

The microscope is now available with left or right hand stages and for brightfield a 0.9/1.25 NA condenser.

For those wishing to employ extra techniques, such as phase contrast, a 0.9/1.25 NA phase condenser is also introduced.

This has a 5-position turret for brightfield, phase 1, 2, 3 and darkfield and is equipped with built in phase and darkfield stops each individually adjustable for the best quality of image.

Axiostar is attractively priced to make it accessible to all laboratories.
