The third generation AID elispot reader is to be used by Andre Oliveira and Hitoshi Hayakawa to assess the viability of a group of 68 candidate peptides
28 November 2005 saw the delivery and installation of the first automated elispot reader in Ireland.
Mark Upton of Cadama Medical delivered an AID elispot reader system to the Centre for Research on Infectious Diseases, University College Dublin, Belfield.
The third generation AID elispot reader is to be used by Andre Oliveira and Hitoshi Hayakawa from Professor William Hall's group.
Oliveira has recently arrived from Brazil to take up his post and Hayakawa from Japan.
They will be using elispots to assess the viability of a group of 68 candidate peptides - a large amount of work which demands a quick reader.
