Fitted with stepper motors for wavelengths and filters, the M108 has a four line, 20 character LCD display to enable users to store and recall up to 200 method statements or sets of results

Camspec says it is setting new standards for product features and cost with the launch of its new M108 programmable visible spectrophotometer Data output from this new 'intelligent' visible spectrophotometer can include method number and name, wavelength, date and time, %T, Abs, concentration and unit, and the provision of an RS232 serial output port makes for easy PC control or printer interface

PC application software options include concentration curves, timescan and wavelength scanning.

The official launch of the new instrument will take place at Camspec's European Distributor Conference in London on 2 November 2007, but in a pre-launch statement Camspec's managing director Tony Moss said: "The new M108 programmable visible spectrophotometer is a result of our design, production and supply partnership with a Chinese-American company and, with a list price of just £1250 exVAT, I really believe that we are setting a new standard by which other manufacturers will now be judged".

Working with an extensive network of international distributors, Camspec's products are already used in a significant range of global research, quality control and conformance applications.

The M108 instrument has been designed to fit neatly into the Camspec family of products, and its price point would suggest that it will have a strong appeal in the education arena.
