The B20/IS Basic is the latest product to be released by Calibration Dynamics, which says it looks set to change the shape of the portable calibrator market as we know it

The B20/IS Basic is a low cost, intrinsically safe, portable pressure calibrator that promises the ultimate in versatility, performance and cost It is described as highly integrated, multi-function, extremely robust, and user-friendly

Not only can it generate and measure pressure but also vacuum, and it is provided with electrical sensor supply and source.

It boasts an accuracy of 0.025%FS and has a pressure range of -1 to 20bar meaning that this field device has all the options one would normally expect to find in the laboratory.

Its ergonomic design enables rapid generation of pressure and fine control while maintaining a stable position throughout use as the calibrator does not need to be restrained under generation.

Add to this the straight forward menu driven operations and large alpha numerical membrane keypad and you see that this instrument defines user ability.

It also offers digital measurement, automatic real-time error calculation and display, signal conditioning, full calibrator set up and an extensive logging function of up to 999 readings in user definable units.

It has a built-in reporting facility and communications come via a RS232 link offering the ability to upload/download calibrator configuration.

The B20/IS Basic comes housed in a robust, high impact resistant, lightweight case that has the capacity to hold all necessary calibration auxiliaries and all in weighs just 6kg making it one of the most portable, convenient and handy devices to use in the field, and available on the market today.

All of these features are there to make using the B20 simple, fast, cost effective and extremely practical and to produce an intrinsically safe portable calibrator that is as comfortable in the laboratory as it is in the field.
