Companies which are required to have their raw materials analysed for CO2 emissions can turn to Ceram, which is accredited to undertake the relevant testing and reporting
CSMA used surface analysis and depth profiling techniques to investigate the action of novel formulation additives at the extreme surface of an in-vitro biomaterial.
The results of this testing provided unequivocal evidence that the formulation additive under scrutiny was not only present at the extreme surface of the material, but had also become fixed in the biological material and substituted itself for atoms within the matrix.
Knowledge of this substitution mechanism has greatly enhanced the company's understanding of this process and will help steer future R+D programmes for the client.
The CSMA research may also lead to patents being taken out, and will certainly result in an extended and enhanced consumer offer.
CSMA is subsidiary of Ceram, the centre for materials and technology based in Stoke-on-Trent, UK. Request free introductory details about products from Ceram ...
