Agreement covers ReNcell neural stem cell lines
Chemicon International and ReNeuron have entered into an agreement to allow Chemicon to exclusively distribute two of ReNeuron's patented ReNcell neural stem cell lines worldwide for research purposes
By offering these products, Chemicon will provide researchers with greater access to the PCT (progenitor cell targeted) line of culture media from Cellntec.
These media allow the researcher to maintain and expand undifferentiated progenitor cells found in epithelial tissues.
Cellntec PCT products allow researchers to grow progenitor cells for research in dermatology, cancer, tissue regeneration and other areas of research.
"Chemicon is excited to collaborate with Cellntec in providing these products to the research marketplace" said Jeffrey Linton, president of Chemicon and Upstate, Serologicals' Research Segment companies.
"These products will expand our offering for researchers working with adult progenitor and stem cells, as well as in the specialized stem cell culture area of research." "We are delighted to have established this agreement with Chemicon," said Peter Girling, CEO of Cellntec.
"We believe that Chemicon's stem cell focus, and the complimentary fit of our products into their existing portfolio, will provide the ideal framework for bringing the benefits of our progenitor cell- targeted in vitro tools to researchers around the world."
