New office in Ukraine
Clinical research organisation Chiltern International has opened a new European office, located at Kiev in Ukraine
Chiltern International is one of the first clinical research organisations to establish a permanent office in Ukraine, following huge increases in demand for its expertise in central European areas like Poland and the Czech Republic, as well as the Ukraine The new office will be managed by Chiltern's clinical development manager for CEE, Boris Golubtsov

Claude Albrecht will be responsible for ensuring high levels of service to clients, focussing on the development of the French operation
He explained: "We have seen a sustained increase in demand for our services in central and eastern Europe.
"Over the past few years, we have built up an extremely well qualified team who have the right blend of experience to fully support clients in meeting their clinical development objectives in the region".
Over the last decade the number of multi-centre clinical trials in the central and eastern Europe (CEE) region has been growing on average at an annual rate of 30%.
According to Chiltern, this figure could rise even further.
"I am delighted that this new office has opened and even more so at the quality of the team Boris has assembled." Commented Chiltern's CEO, Simon Garnham.
"The outlook is very bright for clinical research in eastern Europe and now Chiltern is ideally placed to provide the best service to our clients.".
