Independent clinical research organisation Chiltern International has strengthened its growing contract personnel department with the appointment of Kaushik Pankhania as an internal recruiter in its integrated resourcing solutions department The department - which has seen activity treble over the past two years - offers pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies short, medium or long-term solutions for personnel requirements, training, management and even the recruitment of permanent staff

The service is available to any clients in the United Kingdom, Europe and in the United States.
Pankhania, who lives in London but will be based at the firm's Slough head office, will be responsible for recruiting Chiltern staff in the UK.
He will recruit for several areas, including clinical development, data management, biostatistics, QA, regulatory affairs and CCRU staff.
He will be responsible for advertising the roles, handling responses and pre-selecting candidates for recruiting managers.
He brings extensive expertise to the new role.
He has worked in pre-clinical research for Novartis in Basel and as a laboratory analyst before moving into the recruitment side of the industry.
Since then he has recruited many people involved with clinical trials, for clinical research organisations, phase 1 units, and pharmaceutical companies.
These have ranged from clinical research advisors and project managers to statisticians and data managers.
Pankhania also has seven years of broad full cycle recruitment experience, which has ranged from business development, selection and assessment of candidates through to key account management.
