Oil flow calibration to Ukas

A Calibration Trade Centre product story
Edited by the Laboratorytalk editorial team Mar 10, 2004

The calibration flow rigs available for oil flow measurement cover flow ranges up to 150l/m, at temperatures from 25-55C, and up to 80l/m for hot oil calibration up to 140C

The Calibration Trade Centre reports that it has facilities to offer Ukas accreditation for oil flow metering products.

Calibration Trade Centre (CTC) has specialised in instrumentation for oil systems, whether for lubrication, heat transfer, fuel or hydraulics.

The calibration flow rigs available for oil flow measurement cover flow ranges up to 150l/m, at temperatures from 25-55C, and up to 80l/m for hot oil calibration up to 140C, all traceable to national standards.

The Ukas accreditation to ISO17025 covers oil flow ranges from 2-100l/m.

Within these flow ranges, meters can be calibrated at pressures up to 5bar gauge, and at oil viscosities ranging from 1-200mm2/sec: the test routine can accommodate meters with indicated flow, electrical outputs, digital, pulse or analogue, so all types of meter can be calibrated.

Following calibration testing, CTC can provide a range of servicing and repair options, with a fast turnaround.

CTC has extensive in-house facilities to cover a wide range of calibration work for all industries, whether associated with fluid flow systems, HVAC and air flows, or electrical measurements.

In addition CTC provides a web portal to access all calibration equipment and services topics, including hire of equipment, used equipment wanted and sale items, and requests for calibration service contract quotations.
