I/O by telemetry made easy
Module has user-selectable plug-in options to enable a range of digital and analogue input signals to be connected to the radio telemetry system
Celsum Technologies now offers the Tio telemetry input/output module, to extend its range of radio telemetry instruments The Tio is described as a versatile module with user-selectable plug-in options to enable a range of digital and analogue input signals to be connected to the radio telemetry system

Cost effective temperature controllers
Panel-mounting and sealed to IP54, these three-term controllers represent excellent value for money and have many applications in laboratory and industrial environments
The signals may be transmitted to a computer-connected or hand-held base station over a distance of up to 300m.
In addition, the Tio may be connected to other devices to modify inputs or to respond to outputs.
Tio uses state-of-the-art, licence-free, encrypted, two-way, digital 20mW radio to provide a very high degree of signal integrity and noise immunity, has a data transmission rate of up to ten readings per second, and is fitted with its own internal antenna, although an external antenna may be fitted if required.
It operates from a DC power supply, nominally 18 to 26V with a current consumption during transmission of approximately 80mA.
Tio is housed in a robust glanded, IP65 ABS case.
Celsum Technologies managing director Roy Carter says: "The radio telemetry instrumentation system has many applications, including monitoring signals in otherwise inaccessible places, in vehicles, on animals, process plant, condition monitoring, for research and development rigs.
"The addition of the Tio module to the range extends the scope of application from purely strain-gauge based devices such as load cells to any type of instrument, provided that it has a standard analogue output signal.
"The addition of digital inputs and outputs allows remote switching and status monitoring, an extremely valuable extension of capability".
Tio is the latest instrument offered by Celsum Technologies, complementing its range of digital and analogue strain gauge conditioning and process control instruments, temperature controllers, rheological testing instruments, sapphire window optical process probes, subminiature load cells and pressure transducers, dataloggers and data recorders, made-to-order precision extrusion dies, customised engineering solutions and consultancy services.
