Enhanced range of syringe filters for HPLC and GC clean up offer increased throughput, lower backpressures and a more consistent performance

Chromacol, a supplier of consumables for chromatography, has introduced an enhanced range of syringe filters for HPLC and GC clean up The new 17mm and 30mm units offer increased throughput, lower backpressures and a more consistent performance

The improved construction comprises new sealing and distribution rings.

The sealing ring provides a stronger bond around the filter edge preventing any leaks.

Distribution rings ensure a more even and rapid sample distribution across the membrane that maximises filter performance.

In turn this provides greater reproducibility especially if using the same sample mix a number of times.

The existing 4mm and the new 17mm and 30mm filters are available in PVDF, nylon and PTFE with 0.2mm or 0.45mm porosity.

30mm cellulose acetate filters with 0.45mm porosity are also available.

These benefits do come at a cost, says Chromacol - surprisingly, a lower price.
