DNA ligation and transformation kits incorporate unique transformation-boosting technology to maximise the number of recombinants obtained while using any E coli cloning vector
Cambridge BioScience has added the UltraClone cloning system from Lucigen to its extensive range of cloning products The UltraClone kit for both DNA ligation and transformation incorporates unique transformation-boosting technology to maximise the number of recombinants obtained while using any E coli cloning vector
When compared to ligation and transformation with standard reagents the number of recombinants produced using the UltraClone kit is generally increased by 200-400%.
The UltraClone kit contains DNA ligase for ligating an insert into your vector of choice.
For transformation, either E cloni 10G or 10GF' ELITE electrocompetent cells are provided.
10G cells are optimised for the cloning and propagation of BAC, cosmid or plasmid clones.
10GF' cells carry the same advantages as 10G, but also contain an F' plasmid for infection with M13 and the production of ssDNA.
