Array-based technology is said to be a significant improvement over cumbersome gel mobility-shift assays, which only allowed characterisation of one TF at a time

An expanded range of TranSignal protein/DNA arrays is now available from Cambridge BioScience The new Combo assay is spotted with 345 consensus-binding sequences, each corresponding to a specific transcription factor - on one single array

TranSignal protein/DNA arrays simplify the simultaneous functional analysis of multiple eukaryotic transcription factors.

Developed by Panomics, the array-based technology is said to be a significant improvement over cumbersome gel mobility-shift assays, which only allowed characterisation of one TF at a time.

TranSignal arrays can be used to study TF interaction in a variety of biological processes, including cell proliferation, differentiation, transformation, and apoptosis.

The method is simple, involving just three basic steps, and does not require the use of radioactivity.

In addition to the TranSignal protein/DNA Combo array, the expanded range also introduces TranSignal protein/DNA arrays IV and V.

These products are avialable from Cambridge BioScience in the UK and Ireland only.
