A combination of high power and low-beam divergence make this product the brightest member of the FAP 800 series.
The numerical aperture is <0.11 (90% encircled energy).
Typical drive current and compliance voltage are 54 amperes and two volts, respectively.
This device is easy to integrate and features a compact footprint - 70x31.8x25.8mm.
Renowned for reliable operation, Coherent's diode lasers are MBE-grown and feature an aluminum-free active area design.
This design nearly eliminates dark-line and spot defects, as well as the sudden failures and gradual degradation typically found in MOCVD-grown AlGaAs diode lasers.
And since there is no aluminum in the active region of the device, there is no oxidation in the facets - the leading failure mechanism with AlGaAs diode lasers.
