In addition to this new standard, the existing standards DIN 50602, ASTM E 45, ISO 4967; JIS G 0555 are also implemented.
The ability to enable result comparison is a great benefit because quality determination according to the new EN 10247 standard is based on mathematical formulas compared to the previous methods which involved a visual comparison of the sample to a reference chart image.
The results of a batch measurement of samples can be output individually or combined.
The software offers the possibility of performing measurements in large Mosaix images which are composed of many individual tile images, and not only in single images as in the past.
This means that inclusions are not cut off at the image edge and can therefore be recorded in their entirety resulting in accurate classification.
The NMI System offers many other benefits over the previous manual and visual evaluation.
Sample evaluation is considerably faster, particularly if the sample is measured using several standards.
The system can upgraded with further image analysis applications such as grain size analysis and particle analysis.
These system solutions based on the AxioImager Z1m upright microscope and the Axio Observer Z1m inverted microscope ensure reliable, reproducible and convenient measurements.
