Robust automation for dosing of solid
samples
The new subsidiary of the laboratory automation specialist CyBio, the CyBio Robotics (formerly Accelab) offers a very comfortable and compact system for the automation of dosing solid samples
With the system, based on the Microdos powder dispenser, a wide range of solids can be dosed without supervision That means for the user a higher throughput with less input and greater time for more demanding tasks in the laboratory

16-channel dispenser of this reader enables flash luminescence reading times of less than 60 seconds for 384-well plates and less than three minutes in the 1536-well format
The outgoing samples are identified by means of a barcode reader and are led by a robot through the solid dosing system.
There, the samples, like powder, granulate and other hard substances are quickly and precisely dosed into the target hollow-ware.
The dosage range can be defined from the milligram to the gram with an accuracy of 0.1mg.
The hollow-ware, which is also determined by a barcode, is placed on an outgoing rack after the dosing for further processing.
With this this bench-top system CyBio Robotics offers not only a very compact and robust solution, but also an extremely flexible one as well.
As many samples as desired may be dosed from an outgoing material; or as any samples and mixtures from various output materials can be prepared.
Thereby, the fully-automated system guarantees a constant quality of results.
