Available now from Davidon Industries is a range of thick-film heated elements manufactured in the Netherlands by Ferro Techniek The elements are Pems, or porcelain enamelled metal substrates

Vitreous enamel coating has excellent resistance against thermal shock, as the expansion coefficient of enamel is tuned to the expansion coefficient of steel.
The standard dielectric coating is Kerdi, or Keramisch-ceramic dielectric, a blend of glass ceramic material developed at Ferro Techniek with superior dielectric qualities.
