Charged aerosol detector for Ultimate 3000 systems

Dionex has released the Corona Ultra charged aerosol detector for the Ultimate 3000 HPLC and RSLC systems.

Charged aerosol detection (CAD) is suitable for a range of applications.

The Corona Ultra can detect any non-volatile and many semi-volatile analytes independent of chemical structure, with or without a chromophore.

This makes CAD useful for analytes ranging from small-molecule pharmaceutical APIs and counterions to large molecules such as polymers and proteins.

It is suitable for lipids using liquid chromatography where the wide variety of structures and varying ultraviolet responses present an analytical challenge.

CAD is versatile and easily implemented, according to the company.

With integration into the Ultimate system, these capabilities are now available in an advanced HPLC system.

The redesigned Corona Ultra is fully integrated into the Ultimate 3000 systems.

Both the detector and system are controlled by the patent-pending Dionex Chromeleon chromatography data system software.

The combination of the analytical capability of the Ultimate 3000 RSLC systems, the ease of use of the Chromeleon software and the speed and low peak dispersion of the Corona Ultra detector is suitable for throughput, resolution and detection for all applications where universal detection provides the answer to an analytical problem.
