Droplet Advanced System for microfluidics work

A Dolomite product story
Edited by the Laboratorytalk editorial team Jul 28, 2010

Dolomite has launched the Droplet Advanced System, a droplet generation system that is ideal for a range of development work in droplet microfluidics, including high-throughput chemistry and biology.

The Droplet Advanced System enables users to produce more than 10,000 highly monodispersed droplets per second, ranging from O 20 to 250um.

Developed for more experienced users, the system is the latest addition to Dolomite's Micro Droplet System range and is said to provide a flexible, high-performance solution for droplet formation.

The system contains all required pumps, connectors and chips.

The Droplet Advanced System provides a pulse-less and stable liquid flow, with a pressure range of 0-10 bar.

The pressure-driven pumps and flow resistors enable precise control over flow rates and droplet size, providing a highly advanced and flexible solution for droplet formulation.

In addition, quick changes to flow conditions enable fast optimisation of droplet parameters.

A range of accessories, including high-speed optical systems, larger reservoirs, reagent kits and flow sensors, provide additional user flexibility.

For bespoke applications, Dolomite designs and manufactures custom chips.
