Line now features antireflection coatings

An Edmund Optics product story
Edited by the Laboratorytalk editorial team Nov 13, 2006

Edmund Optics has enhanced its Tech Spec optical components by adding a visible 0 antireflection coating option to its plano-convex, plano-concave, double-convex, double-concave, and achromatic lines

The coating features an average reflectance (Ravg) of less than 0.4% over the spectral band from 425 to 675nm.

The plano convex line offers effective focal lengths ranging from 4mm to 750mm (1% efl tolerance) for diameters ranging from 4mm to 25mm.

The plano-concave line offers effective focal lengths ranging from -12mm to -100mm (1% efl tolerance) for diameters ranging from 12mm to 25mm.

The double-convex line offers effective focal lengths ranging from 4.5mm to 400mm (1% efl tolerance) for diameters ranging from 4.5mm to 25mm.

The double-concave line offers effective focal lengths ranging from -6mm to -100mm (1% efl tolerance) for diameters ranging from 6mm to 25mm.

The line of acromats offers effective focal lengths ranging from 10mm to -150mm (2% efl tolerance) for diameters ranging from 6.25mm to 30mm.

Because Edmund applies all coatings in-house, the company also offers a range of custom coating capabilities.
