Keeping pipettes in check
Pipette service and calibration operation provides UK laboratories with help in maintaining liquid handling accuracy
Elkay Laboratory Products has announced a new name for its pipette service and calibration business - PetteCheck PetteCheck provides UK laboratories with help in maintaining liquid handling accuracy and may be the answer to pipette 'behavioural' problems
Both on-site and off-site service is offered.
On site servicing is fast, minimises laboratory disruption and may be necessary if pipettes must remain on the premises.
For off-site, the company supplies a special delivery package to turnaround a cost-effective pipette service within a few days.
A fully trained technician can work on all makes of single, multi-channel and electronic pipette.
During the service, pipettes are dismantled, cleaned and new parts fitted where necessary.
Once reassembled, the pipettes are calibrated within the guidelines set out in ISO8655.
Further calibration options to Ukas levels are also offered.
