Aurion and Electron Microscopy Sciences will hold their spring east coast workshop on Immuno Gold Silver Staining at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York from 18-21 May.

The course objectives are to provide researchers with the opportunity to learn the theory and practice of immuno gold labelling and to promote technology exchange and research collaboration by allowing participants to process their own samples under expert guidance.

The Immuno Gold Silver Staining workshop is designed and taught by Peter van de Plas, who has been with Aurion since 1991.

The three-day course will cover the properties of gold particles and their protein conjugates, theories underlying immuno gold labelling protocols and silver enhancement of gold particles.

Also covered in the course will be immuno gold labelling on a variety of sample preparations for LM, immuno gold labelling for EM, pre/post-embedding double immuno gold labelling, and background minimisation in immuno gold labelling.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own samples to maximise learning.
