Albrecht Wiener moves to Eppendorf UK as the new managing director

Formerly the company's sales director in Germany, Albrecht Wiener first joined Eppendorf headquarters in 1999 to become area sales manager UK and Ireland, and key account manager Europe for the major dealer Wiener, 43, holds an MBA and began his career with the German airline Lufthansa, followed by six years within the optical division of Carl Zeiss in Germany and France

Commenting on his appointment, Albrecht Wiener says: "There is great potential for a strong brand such as Eppendorf to fulfil customers' demands in high-end research.

"I am looking forward to the challenging opportunity of moving to the UK to work in this very well-established organisation".

Eppendorf UK, headquartered in Cambridge, is a subsidiary of Eppendorf, Hamburg, Germany, a leading global supplier of systems and research tools for the biotechnology industry.
