Centrifuge bundles offered by Eppendorf
Eppendorf has launched a range of centrifuge bundles that provide a flexible choice of refrigerated or non-refrigerated models, complete with swing-bucket rotor and adapters for different tube sizes.
As a complete package for either cell culture or clinical applications, Eppendorf said the centrifuge bundles offer ease of purchasing and savings for users working with Falcon tubes, blood collection tubes or urine tubes.
Cell culture centrifuge bundles are available with centrifuge 5702, 5804/5804 R or 5810/5810 R, to meet requirements for low-, medium- or high-throughput applications.
Also included is a swing-bucket rotor with buckets and four adapters (two sets of two) for 15ml Falcon tubes and four adapters for 50ml Falcon tubes.
In addition to centrifugation of cell cultures, Eppendorf said these bundles are ideal for bacterial or yeast cell separation from suspensions prior to DNA or protein isolation.
The clinical centrifuge bundle comprises the refrigerated centrifuge 5702 R, swing-bucket rotor A-4-38 with round buckets, plus four adapters (two sets of two) each for 13mm and 16mm blood collection tubes or urine tubes.
The economical centrifuge 5702 and 5702 R spin at up to 3,000 x g or 4,400rpm, and feature parameter locking and a compact footprint.
Bench-top centrifuges 5804/5804 R and 5810/5810 R spin at up to 20,800 x g or 14,000rpm, while automatic rotor recognition ensures safety.
With a temperature range of -9C to 40C, 35 user-defined programs, and 10 acceleration and 10 braking ramps, these devices offer versatility for clinical labs and for molecular biology, cell culture and biotechnology labs in commercial and academic research.
