Computer cart maximises potential of wireless networking by allowing complete computer system including monitor or laptop to be positioned where it is needed

Ergotron launches the HD-2 cart, which allows mobilising a complete computer system, including an LCD monitor or laptop The company anticipates increased demand for mobile computer systems due to wireless network implementation and has therefore built a cart that meets the specific requirements for this kind of application

There is room for positioning one or more lithium batteries onto the cart, as well as a drawer or scannerholder.

The HD-2 Cart has a small 61cm diameter base and special casters with a rounded rubber tread.

Its easy manoeuvrability makes is well fit for easy travel, even in confined areas.

A gas spring arm offers 37.5 cm of height adjustability, which makes the cart suitable for users of different length.

In addition, it is suitable for both sitting and standing operation.

The HD-2 computer cart caters for flat screens with a maximum weight of 11.3kg and laptops with a maximum weight of 9kg.

Mobile computer workstations are being used more and more often, the company says.

Applications include electronic patient recordkeeping in hospitals and electronic document management in manufacturing plants.
