Highly selective chromatographic
detector

ESA Analytical says its Coulochem II multi-electrode detector represents a significant advance in highly selective chromatographic detection

Based upon advanced electrochemical detection technology, the Coulochem II has been proven to provide superior selectivity, sensitivity and stability over fluorescence, UV and RI detection in undertaking neurochemical, pharmaceutical, environmental and biological analyses The Coulochem II achieves unmatched chromatographic selectivity by preoxidising or reducing undesirable, electroactive or interfering compounds at the first electrode of the unique ESA dual electrode electrochemical cell

Any substances with a half wave potential less than that of the compound of interest are then excluded from detection at the second or analysis electrode.

Additionally where conventional methods fail to resolve overlapping species, the Coulochem II can provide even greater selectivity with compounds which undergo redox potentials.

Compounds such as catecholamines or biogenic amines can be selectively detected from complex multi-component mixtures using this method.

Rapidly solving even the most complex analytical problems the Coulochem II uses a combination of modes and sensors.

For ease of use, all parameters can be automatically computer controlled via the RS232 communication interface. Request a free brochure from ESA Biosciences ...
