Viva air shower completes research product line

Esco says it now offers a complete line of animal research products with the launch of the Viva air shower

Animal testing or animal research is the use of animals in experiments, applied in industries as diverse as pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, genetic therapy and biological safety testing.

Esco's range of Viva animal research products are designed for lab animal research applications involving rodents.

Esco filed its first Air Shower patent in the 1980s and since then has installed thousands of units in diverse markets worldwide.

The present Esco Air Shower is a third-generation product and features a field-programmable microprocessor control that offers the maximum application flexibility of any unit on the market.

Air showers keep pharmaceutical production and lab animal breeding areas clean and also minimise egress of hazardous substances and allergens from the controlled environment.

Other Esco Viva lab animal research products include the Viva dual access workstation (typically used for cage-changing), Viva universal workstation (for cage-changing and other general procedures) and Viva bedding disposal workstation (for cage dumping procedures).
