Extract Technology name revived by new
ownership
A major name in the world of containment equipment manufacture for the pharmaceutical, chemical and biotech industries has recently been revived thanks to the foresight of its new owners
On 5 October 2006, the US-based private investment firm, Insight Equity, acquired the Walker Group (parent group of CPS Extract) resulting in the Huddersfield-based manufacturer of pharmaceutical containment equipment reverting to its former name of Extract Technology This action has been taken to stress in the strongest terms the management's renewed commitment to continue providing leading technologies and services to its specific core markets

Pallister has been based in the USA for the last seven years, heading up the expansion in the North American market.
He will continue to operate from his Raleigh, NC base, using his vast experience to target and direct the Extract business into new opportunities worldwide.
"The Extract Technology name is still well-known and highly-regarded throughout the industry," commented Pallister, "and so I am delighted that we can re-introduce it to our ever-growing customer base.
"We have exciting plans to move the business forward that will generate healthy and profitable sales growth, while benefiting our targeted customers in the pharmaceutical, chemical and biotech industries.
To emphasise the company's commitment to the future, Extract Technology has re-branded its corporate look.
"A new logo and a new website (not available at the time of writing - Ed) will add fresh appeal to a rejuvenated, re-invigorated Extract Technology," said Pallister, adding that a modern face on an old and trusted friend, backed up by an enthusiastic team, have helped create an optimistic outlook for the continued success of the company.
