Extech Instruments, a supplier of test and measurement equipment for the industrial marketplace, has been awarded a patent for the EX470 multimeter with built-in IR thermometer (USPO 7,056,012)
Ergonomically designed for instantaneous, non-contact temperature readings, the EX470 provides fast, easy and safe measurements in a wide variety of applications including locations that are unsafe or difficult to reach Rated Cat III-600V, the EX470 offers a 4000 count display, 0.3% basic DCV accuracy, capacitance and frequency functions, and Type K thermocouple measurements in addition to its IR capability

The EX470 comes complete with Cat III test leads, multi-position tilt stand, Velcro strip for hanging, protective holster with test lead holder, bead wire temperature probe and 9V battery.
