ABB will be presenting the latest technology from its comprehensive range of instrumentation products and systems at Mtec 2004 (Birmingham NEC, 11-12 February 2004)
The couplers can branch 1 x N optical signals up to 32 ports, and a typical unit measures only 10mm wide x 6mm thick x 95mm long.
The devices are compatible with standard ribbon fibre, with flat or angle polished termination.
Also being introduced is a new range of high-power fixed optical attenuators designed for use with the new generation of high-powered lasers.
The devices cover attenuation levels from 1 to 30dB and have power-handling capabilities up to 1W.
FibreFab is also featuring its ranges of high-performance Optronics patchcords and pigtails, all of which outperform conventional products with return losses between -45dB and -55dB.
Each assembly carries its own warranty with fully certified test results, manually recorded with full traceability.
