Unlike conventional rotary evaporation systems, the flask is not continuously rotated but is lifted in and out of the heating bath

Ilmdest is a new way to separate material from solvents by vacuum distillation The Ilmdest is an advanced hold-back-pump combined with a water jacket heating system and a flask lift

As with conventional rotary evaporation systems, Ilmdest uses a round bottomed flask to contain the solvent/specimen mixture; unlike conventional systems, the flask is not continuously rotated, it is lifted in and out of the heating bath.

This simple system is a more cost-effective way of separation by vacuum distillation.

Ilmdest is a completely automatic distillation unit especially developed for the cost conscious researchers.

The product replaces the conventional rotary evaporation process with a unique quenching process that reduces product complexity and cost.

Solvent recovery rates are close to 100%.

The Ilmdest system relies on fully automatic detection of the solvent boiling points that has been successfully employed in other Ilmvac laboratory products like the Autodest hold back pump system.

The Ilmdest approach not only provides lower operating costs but will also significantly reduce separation times, says Finemech.

Ilmdest vacuum distillation systems are available at Finemech, the online store, as a standard hold back system or equipped with the heating, quenching lift mechanism.

Ilmdest specifications include ultimate pressure of 8mbar and a pumping throughput of 2.3m3/hr.

Finemech technical support engineers can be reached by phone or by email to answer technical questions on the full range of Ilmvac vacuum pumps, vacuum components and connectors.
