Microarray slide is ready-to-spot
Unlike microarray slides made of glass with other surface chemistries, this polymer product does not require activation, blocking, baking, or UV cross-linking before being ready to use
DNA microarray technology has the potential to offer great benefits in genomic research and drug discovery Applications include clone mapping, linkage analysis, highly multiplexed mutation detection, gene expression monitoring and high throughput screening etc

The Immobilizer microarray slide is an open 'ready to spot' polymer microarray slide, with a clear transparent spotting area.
The spotting area is coated with Exiqon's proprietary anthraquinone photo probes to enable easy one step coupling (spotting) of amino-linked DNA/RNA, -LNA or -PCR.
In between the spots there are low non-specific binding of DNA and low non-specific binding of fluorochrome labelled proteins Unlike microarray slides made of glass with other surface chemistries, the Immobilizer microarray slide is ready for immediate use.
It does not require any activation steps, costly blocking, time consuming baking or UV cross- linking.
The slides also conveniently come with the necessary spotting and hybridisation solutions.
The 75x25x1mm slide dimension makes it compatible with most microarray spotters and scanners.
The Immobilizer has an elevated bottom to avoid scratches and finger indentations are made to facilitate manual handling.
They are stable at room temperature for a minimum of 12 months, even after opening the packaging.
If required as an optional extra, each slide can be bar-coded to facilitate data tracking.
