Grinding performance will surprise

A Fritsch product story

Compact bench-sized grinding mill reduces samples to small and uniform size very quickly, even when small quantities are used

The compact Mini-Mill, weighing just 15kg and 30cm in size, can be accommodated on the laboratory table and, says Fritsch, surprises every user with its outstanding grinding performance.

In the case of brittle materials, the newly constructed instrument for the fine grinding of very small quantities already reaches a fineness of d50 10-15um or d90 25-30um in two to three minutes.

The grinding bowls are available in the materials agate, zirconium oxide, stainless and tempered steel with a volume of 10ml or 15ml and are suitable for maximum sample quantities of 2ml or 5ml respectively.

The ideal feed quantity for the 10ml grinding bowl is 0.2-1 ml sample

This also corresponds to the shortest grinding time.

The regulated, vertical oscillations with an adjustable oscillation frequency of 15 to 50Hz allows very good adaptation to the grinding behaviour of the sample, whereby the large oscillation amplitude of 9mm leads to high ball acceleration.
