The Picoindentor package comprises a well thought-out design, sophisticated evaluation electronics and software, and a price that is said to be less than half the typical cost of current comparable instruments.
The resolution when applying the test load is only about 100 nanonewtons, and when measuring the indentation depth, about 40 picometers.
The maximum test load of the instrument is 500mN at a maximum indentation depth of 150um.
Because its automated measurement processes last only a few seconds, it is suitable for both laboratory measurements and quality assurance in manufacturing.
Connected to a PC, the Picoindentor provides all typical statistical evaluations, print forms and documentation, making it a quality test in the field of industrial nanotechnology.
