Data logger reliably and accurately measures inputs from a wide range of sensors making it suitable for many different applications

Grant Instruments SQ1600 universal Squirrel data logger reliably and accurately measures inputs from a wide range of sensors making it suitable for many different applications in industry, research, science and environmental monitoring The SQ1600 is currently being used to check the performance of industrial washing/disinfecting machines before they are despatched

The Squirrel data logger is used to validate the washing and disinfecting cycles in the machines which are then sold to the healthcare market for cleaning surgical instruments and hollowware (bowls etc.) The tests are described in a document called 'health and technical memorandum 2030' (HTM 2030) issued by the NHS.

These requirements are to monitor the temperatures under various conditions ie, loaded, unloaded.

The temperatures are then checked to ensure they meet recommended disinfection temperatures in the load and at various points around the washing chamber.

The SQ1600 was chosen for its simplicity of operation and high accuracy when monitoring temperature.
