Rotary oven offers a reliable and cost effective solution for small-scale solid phase or solution phase chemical synthesis requirements

Grant's new Hot-Rocs rotary oven offers a reliable and cost effective solution for small-scale solid phase or solution phase chemical synthesis requirements Following requests from combinatorial and material synthesis chemists, Grant Instruments is adding the time saving Hot-Rocs rotary oven to its popular range of Grant Boekel products

Designed with a particularly small footprint to fit easily inside a standard fume hood, the oven accommodates a variety of reaction vessels.

Attractively priced, the Hot-Rocs rotary oven provides controlled heating and mixing of reagents during chemical synthesis.

Unlike most other shaking or stirring reactor products, the Hot-Rocs produces a rotation of the reaction vessels.

This induces tumbling of the vessel contents, providing the effective mixing mechanism required for controlled synthesis reactions.

This mixing action is particularly beneficial for solid phase synthesis, preventing resin settlement or compaction.

Hot-Rocs combines precise temperature control from ambient +10C to 100C with a variable vessel rotation speed of 0 to 60rpm.

The PID temperature controller ensures rapid heat-up and superior stability of +/-0.5C.

The convenient push button temperature adjustment and bright LED display makes the unit very easy to use.

Hot-Rocs is supplied with a polycarbonate cover, stainless steel drip tray and carousel for all standard 35mm diameter reaction bottles.

A wide range of accessories are also available for greater versatility.

The unit is just part of the extensive catalogue of life science products available from the alliance of Grant Instruments and US based Boekel Scientific.

It bears the CE mark, is supported by a comprehensive two-year guarantee and is available worldwide through an extensive network of laboratory distributors.
