Multi-function programmable 3D rotator has programmable linked mixing sequence of up to three operations, including 3D rotation, and backward and forward 3D motion

For applications benefiting from gyratory platform mixing, Grant Instruments has introduced the new PS-M3D multi-function programmable 3D rotator, marketed under the Grant-bio brand name The compact unit is said to be the most versatile on the market, allowing the user to program a linked mixing sequence comprising up to three separate modes of operation

These are 3D rotation, backward and forward 3D motion with the rotator angle variable between 30 and 360deg and vibration, with the angle settable from 1 to 6deg.

The speed, time and platform turning angle are fully programmable and no special tools are necessary.

The rotator offers a highly controlled operation from gentle mixing to a more vigorous action.

All actions may be set for continuous or timed operation, and individual phases may be linked together for maximum operational flexibility.

Programs can be easily configured according to the nature of sample, process volume and type of vessel used and stored programs can be executed at the touch of a button.

Competitively priced, the unit comes complete with a standard smooth non-slip platform mat and features variable speed control over a range from 5 to 30rpm and a fixed position 7deg tilt angle.

The small footprint rotator not only looks great on the bench, but it can be used in an incubator or cold room with an operating ambient temperature range of 4C to 45C.

The PS-M3D accommodates most types of vessel from tubes and flasks, to dishes and boxes.

It is highly suitable for use in tasks requiring controlled gentle mixing for the most sensitive of samples.

These include staining and destaining, DNA extractions and hybridisations.

The 3D gyratory motion is ideal for immuno-precipitations, blotting procedures and mixing blood samples.

An optional tube adaptor and a dimpled mat are also available.
